Thread: Coach Napier's EXit

    Default Head FB Coach Search

Yes, yes, I know. We don’t want the distraction, but we as fans can also realize reality and speculate.

If Coach Napier is offered and takes that bigger job after the season, who is potentially on AD Maggard’s list? You know he has a list.

Does Coach Toney get promoted if Napier doesn’t take him?

Can we beg Rob Sale to return?

Also, we could finally maybe get Rich Rod 22 years after the Ray Ray brothers in Martin Hall screwed that thing up, though I think I’d rather go younger. What he and Bowden have done with ULM is quite astounding.

    Do we re-approach Brent Pry?

My coach next year is Billy Napier, I really hope we can go get him.

    We’re already re-recruiting him.

HUD 2.0. There are no other reasonable options

Why was this moved from the main Rage page?

Please no. A guy like Hud served his purpose, but want another young, calm planner.

I could really see CBN ending up as the HC at Va. Tech.

Now this is the job I was worried about and I think he will get this job. This is a perfect job for him… winning tradition, resources, great fans/alumni and can be on top that conference in 2 years. Bye Billy it has been a fun ride I just hope we don’t go back to sucking. I would also not be surprised if he interviewed for the job after the game this weekend.

Definitely a reasonable stepping stone to Alabama.

There are starting to be too many of those . . . TCU, now Virginia Tech and then there is LSU . . . I am concerned too many angles are lining up where this might be the year he goes . . .

There are good jobs out there:

USC, LSU, TCU, VT and even Washington and Washington State. I don't know if it is for sure that this is CBN's last season, but regardless it has been a fun ride and hopefully, if he does leave, based on our body of work the last few years, the coaching options for UL will be huge. In Maggard and Napier, I trust.

Dang, this is starting to get concerning. Too many good offers not to pass up. I really hope he stays, cause I don't think UL Football will be the same without him.
