Money and Wisdom.

When you lack one or both of these, you’re in trouble.

We have lifted our program because we lifted salaries and hired more staff. We will maintain that program by maintaining that support.

USM stagnated because their budget stagnated.

Nebraska has money. They lack wisdom. Their program has never recovered from turning their back on power, option football. It’s who they are, and they can’t recruit the coaches or the players needed to compete otherwise.

When Troy was really dominate they had some advantages others didn’t in regards to academics and being able to sign more guys each class. They had some kind of exemption that allowed then to take academic Risks. They came down to earth when that ended. However, point taken that we could go back to sucking very quickly

……Well things are changing and are/will change very quickly with regards to rankings……And the PORTAL is the reason…….if the culture, Coach, playing time, or Ws and Ls are not acceptable to a player he can leave without any repercussions…..football divisions, area code, weather matter not……player decisions alone will decide some futures!

I will always have respect for Coach Bustle and the way he basically resurrected the program. He came in with no resources and made our teams competitive. His only "weakness" was not getting us that 7th win. Other than that, he brought back fan interest and built teams that were fun to watch.
