UL Basketball Re: Reminder of MBB tonight

    After 3 games

I’d say i was pretty accurate on what I thought about who would being doing what from a previous post a few weeks back, still a long season ahead. I didn’t get a chance to see the team play tonight, but a win is a win and i’ll take that any day.

    3 GAMES PLAYED AVERAGE
    Jordan Brown 14ppg 7rpg
    Greg Williams 11ppg 4rpg 3apg
    Theo Akwuba 10ppg 8rpg
    Kobe Julian 10ppg
    Jalen Dalcourt 9pg
Kentrell Garnett 8ppg ( So happy for this kid, a true hard working story )

rest of the sqaud are role guys, take what u can get out the rest of the ones that play some minutes as it would be one player and hope to get a double double. #JustWinBaby #GeauxCajuns

Playing 13 guys results in sloppy play. That many won’t play at Indiana. Positive was 10 three pointers made tonight. Agree that bigs dribble too much and that was a big factor in high turnover number. Xavier has an NAIA All American who played well. Forgot his name but was Number 3 I believe. Indiana game Sunday night will be interesting.

…..I was impressed with our defensive small guys on the ball….damn they pressured the ball…..do we have a new defensive coach?

Are you a sports fan, a partial imput computer, or just someone who just likes to argue?

If there were no true experience inflating or deflating of percentages, Louisiana's 3-0 and Gonzaga's 3-0 would be viewed in exactly the same light when it comes to rankings.

Why do you refuse to admit that you are viewing win percentage and attempting to see SOS? For a smart man like you are, this is mind boggling.

It has nothing to do with the bottom of a spreadsheet column. It has everything to do with perception.

Competitive recognition in sports cannot exist without variances in perception.

Inflating or deflating a winning percentage is within the natural order of evaluating the quality of a team or season.

It is recognition that some Ws are bigger accomplishments than other Ws

Denying that "record" deflation and inflation (in sports) exists means you ignore every tangible or intangible and percieve a team with a weak schedule in the same light as a team with a strong schedule just because they have the same record at the bottom of a spreadsheet.

Number 3 was really good, and 2. They were able to get to their spots and we really couldn't bother them. They just gassed out.

No. 11 was a key to Xavier as well. Short very quick guy who was very good with dribble penetration. He set up the scorers and hit a couple of nice floaters while being pressured. No. 4 was Corey Dunning from Lafayette High. He considered walking on here but ultimately decided to take the scholarship to Xavier. He did not score much but did well for the Gold Rush defensively and on the glass. Brown did abuse him a couple of times early in the game but Jordan did not do as well in the second half. I suspect we will continue to see the large number of players see action in the remaining home games prior to league play beginning. I doubt we see that in the road games as all 4 are against much tougher competition. Hard to establish rhythm when 13 guys are playing significant minutes.
