Not the Cajuns best performance but it is a win. Xavier made a run late to make the score closer than it really was. With so many new faces it might take a little time to play more consistently together.
How good is Xavier?
Really liked X’s guards. Very quick shots. Good percentage. Smallish but cat quick. Our bigs played too loose and at end tried to pretend they were guards. Very physical game. Surprised how much Refs let go inside. Our bigs have got to stop putting ball on court. Just go up. Our guards shot better tonight. For most of game our defense stayed active. Last five minutes, not so much.
After 3 games
I’d say i was pretty accurate on what I thought about who would being doing what from a previous post a few weeks back, still a long season ahead. I didn’t get a chance to see the team play tonight, but a win is a win and i’ll take that any day.
3 GAMES PLAYED AVERAGE
Jordan Brown 14ppg 7rpg
Greg Williams 11ppg 4rpg 3apg
Theo Akwuba 10ppg 8rpg
Kobe Julian 10ppg
Jalen Dalcourt 9pg
Kentrell Garnett 8ppg ( So happy for this kid, a true hard working story )
rest of the sqaud are role guys, take what u can get out the rest of the ones that play some minutes as it would be one player and hope to get a double double. #JustWinBaby #GeauxCajuns
Playing 13 guys results in sloppy play. That many won’t play at Indiana. Positive was 10 three pointers made tonight. Agree that bigs dribble too much and that was a big factor in high turnover number. Xavier has an NAIA All American who played well. Forgot his name but was Number 3 I believe. Indiana game Sunday night will be interesting.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 3-0 for the first time since the 1995-96 season
