There are many who do both. Both the South Ala. TV and Radio guy have their own show. Barry McKnight at Troy has one in Montgomery. Craig Way at Texas has his own as well. That's just off the top of my head.

By the way, what happened to the weekly coaches shows?
The venue of Pete’s is the problem. Seating and the view are horrible. At least when it was at Walk On’s you had around 15 tables in the bar area to sit and watch it. I quit going because you would get stuck behind the bar near the bathrooms.
Petes isn’t fan friendly for sure.
Agreed
Food at Pete's has improved through the years and they put Cajuns first over other teams. At Walkon's, other schools can take priority on game day. Granted that was not the case for the night of the coach's shows. Basketball coaches were on last night. Coach Marlin talked about his relationship with Bob Knight in anticipation of the Indiana game on Sunday night. Coach Brodhead encouraged folks to attend the LSU women's game this Thursday night.
Agree that the seating situation at Pete’s isn’t ideal but I do like that it is a UL-first establishment. I can remember when the shows would be at Baja Sports Grill for $3 burger night. The fact that the shows occur every so often seems pretty small-time to me. I get the rationale, I guess; but I’d rather try to find a way to make it more appealing rather than taking my ball and going home.
I'm hearing Bare Minimum to the tune of Smooth Criminal.
I was talking exclusively as a non aligned customer. The place is just past it’s day, parking isn’t friendly among other things.
I don’t agree with Jay about lack of fan interest. Unlike many coaches shows the format doesn’t help grow fan interest.
Fans want to interact with the coaches. That should include a couple of fans at the location, and phone in questions. Unfortunately they don’t want to spend the money on live phone questions and fan-coach interaction. An alternative could be Mike, for example, with a pre recorded question from Port Barre.
Regardless it’s not happening and like crappy basketball schedule can claim it doesn’t move the needle.
Years ago at Pete's, you could ask live questions during the Coaches Show and they even had a "Question of the Week" giveaway.
