We can all discuss, but it will never happen. The only reason Blackham would be renovated would be to move volleyball and offices out of Long. Cajundome is a top basketball area, but the deal with the city/Cajundome needs to be reworked.

It won't happen most likely, but maybe if we can convince enough fans that renovating Blackham is a good idea, we could find some sort of way to get the school involved. Just thinking out loud here!

Pretty sure nothing is up to code so I’m not sure you could get away with just gutting it. It’s fun to think about but it will never happen.

The Tigue had all of the same issue and we spent $18mm for a top notch facility. That was a total redo electrical/plumbing/foundation/dirt work etc

Last word from me: The Cajundome is one of the nicest basketball arenas in the conference. Bringing back Blackham will never happen, but for some of you, it might make for fun discussion. Enjoy.😀

It was definitely a fun time. I remember well when we hosted Tarkinian and Long Beach State . They were a powerhouse at the time, and we beat them. Blackham was jammin'.

During Lamar's time here, Jesus Christ Superstar came out. I was in school with a black female grad student. She and her friends changed the words to Bo Lamar, Superstar.... and he was.
