The Tigue had all of the same issue and we spent $18mm for a top notch facility. That was a total redo electrical/plumbing/foundation/dirt work etc

That’s like buying a house you can’t afford, staying even though you’re going bankrupt but telling your financial advisor, “but the house is so nice! I can entertain with the best them!”

It was definitely a fun time. I remember well when we hosted Tarkinian and Long Beach State . They were a powerhouse at the time, and we beat them. Blackham was jammin'.

During Lamar's time here, Jesus Christ Superstar came out. I was in school with a black female grad student. She and her friends changed the words to Bo Lamar, Superstar.... and he was.

Blackham can be renovated. So can the coliseum in Rome. Both need new roofs, electrical, plumbing, drainage and interior. But can be done.

I vote for Blackham. The coliseum might be ok for one or two times a year , but I believe attendance might be adversely affected if it were more than that.

Yep, you’re right. It was marketed as a Back in Blackham game in 2015 when Marlin's team advanced to the CIT quarterfinals. I don’t remember who they played, but they also hosted 4 games in 2016.

Y'all might be looking at it the wrong way. No one is actually going to renovate Blackham. But we can threaten to renovate Blackham to get the Cajun Dome to do what we want.

There’s no deal that the university can strike with the city that would be better or more profitable than playing in a university owned property.

University has plans to renovate Blackham! First step is replacing HVAC system.

Lol. Dr. Maggard probably has a nice bottle of champagne on hand the moment OLOL CF renovation fundraising is completely secured. Then he starts hearing rumblings from fans about renovating Blackham. We need to buy that guy drinks

I think this is all a moot point as I think in the end, the Blackham will be the new Heymann center.
