I think Maggard answered that in this interview.

A scheduling alliance with the SBC, CUSA, and Horizon was planned. That was the recommendation of a consultant the league had brought in. Supposedly four games for each school would be set that way, two at home and two away. You would play one home game and one road game of a CUSA school outside of normal setups. Same for Horizon. It never got off the ground. My belief is the CUSA schools never really bought in. They wanted annual games like us and Tech to count for the allotment. Separation and all you know. Now, we have well known mid major schools that you have verbal agreements with back out to play four non D1 games. I know we play too many of those our selves but some of the ones schools in our league play are against opponents that make you scratch your head.

Mike, if all mid majors are having scheduling issues wouldn't it make sense for some of those schools to play each other?

Jay thanks for posting the interview.

It brought back memories of tuning in to 1420 at 3 pm to listen to your interviews of the AD or Karl Benson.

Maybe you can try to interview Dr. Savoie once or twice a semester.

A lot of good things are happening at the University of Louisiana.

    Go Cajuns!

Yes it would but no one wants to play them on the road. They want road games against weaker teams in the peer leagues and home games against the better teams.
