How refreshing it was to listen to the state of our program as described by our great AD.

It looks like many here need to listen well to what he has to say because it paints a totally different picture than the portrait generally painted here.

Kudos to our AD and all of our athletic programs discussed here by him and to those who generally paint a similar portrait here of our athletics programs as you heard from Dr Maggard in this podcast.

To the others with cheese in their mouths, it may be prudent to listen attentively and learn a little bit . . .

It means you have just done a substantial amount of whining about your athlete, coach or university.

My ears perked up when he was talking about football schedule far out in the future and he said "if I'm even still here." I'm too nervous for you to be saying that Dr. Maggard.

I must add these podcasts have vastly improved since they started last year. Roarman is great, RaginReview and Prather and Jay. All extremely well done.

Back in the day USL was invisible outside the Lafayette metropolitan hub. Nothing on the Nola papers TP, and States Item. You could get a little on the old Morning Advocate, the best sports section in the state, and an occasional comment on WWL AM radio.

There was a section in the TP that covered the top 25 football. Two or three sentences. Of course we never quite got to that.
