Makes you wonder why our comp-sci group doesn't make their own ticket portal. Is it ineptitude, laziness, or inability?
Too many things we could host in-house, but unwilling. It's irritating, knowing students could get co-op credits and bring in dollars. The company I work for does it with summer interns, and that seems good enough for a multi-billion dollar company...
Am I the only one who doesn’t see where UL basketball benefits from this “sweetheart” deal with The Cajun Dome?
Renovate Blackham and let’s go home. I bet the cost would be a wash after 3 seasons, and then a net gain growing year over year. It just makes no sense to continue like this.
No to the cow arena.
I'm in, we could build a much more intimate arena that could seat 6-7k and be rowdy as hell. Also could practice in it full time and don't have to rely on these CajunDome staff and management of concessions, tickets, etc. Hell, you could build a basketball ops center attached to it as well.
Renovations are generally as or more expensive than building new.
There’s nothing wrong with the Cajun Dome.
I was googling old pictures of Blackham, and noticed this:
Is this how it looked when it first opened inside? Or was this an artist's rendition? Bracing looks a lot cooler than current day.
Also saw this one too, but this is definitely an artist's rendering:
We will never be in Blackham as long as the CajunDome is in existence. Just my humble opinion.
