Dave, what's their front 7 look like? I know they took out ULM's QB in their game and last week they might have knocked out Greyson McCall for the season. Our O'line really needs to show up for this game.

Glad you asked....We will be dropping our podcast tonight or tomorrow morning, but what I can tell you is that they are good up front. They have tons of talent in the front 7 and they play behind the opponents line more times than not. As a team they have 34 sacks (that is almost 4 per game) and 78 TFL (that is almost 9 per game). They are good, really good up front. Our OL is going to have to play well. They have 8 guys who have recorded at least 1 sack and 7 players who have over 5 TFL on the season. Their front 7 scares me allot.

Well then…it’s time to put these boys on some roller skates and run the ball down their throats.

Just to give you an idea, we are pretty good on our front 7, we have 22 sacks on the season 12 less than them and we have 44 TFL, that is 34 less then them through the same number of games. We also only have 2 guys with more than 5 TFL's this season, they have 8.

Gotta break out the screens and QB draws this week. Make them pay for their aggressiveness.

Agree, quick passes, draws, screens and misdirection are the key. The good news is Levi is really good on getting his passes out quickly on designed plays to our WR and RB in the flat, that is going to be where we need to have some big plays.

I don't want to give out all of our my thoughts before the podcast, but we are going to have to run quick plays and play with tempo to keep them from subbing a ton of players.

Troy is also +8 in football's most important statistic: Turnover Margin. They have 14 interceptions on the season.

    How they manage to lose?

Lot's of tight games and decision making at the QB position with Taylor Powell at the helm. Their biggest loss was by 13 to ULM, but they have played in a bunch of close games. They are not explosive on offense, but they are much better with Gunnar Watson at the helm. Lindsey seems to like Powell as he has played more than Watson, but Watson is 6 TD's to 0 INT's and Powell is 7 TD's to 6 INT's. They also don't have a dominate running game, Vidal is good, but not great (although he was great in the CCU game). BJ Smith has underwhelmed this year and the loss of Reggie Todd has hurt quite a bit. Tez Johnson is very good at WR, but really outside of him, they are just OK. Their offense is not as good as their Defense.

I watched some of Troy and South al yesterday on demand. I think we will win in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
