The AP is one of the last hold-outs on this. And they feed a TON of outlets. If you see a “-Lafayette”. It’s a very good chance it started from the AP.

Which is stupid because they've said they would only change when others started reference the way we asked to and it became common usage then they would change too. Just admit that you are one of the few holdouts with an agenda. I mean even google has started making the change
