Also, those percentages were just something I threw out. They can be modified with a bigger "pool" number of 80%, and then the weekday game split is only 20%. Meaning less disparity between the 6 Saturday game group and the <6 Saturday game group.

Just so you know that in the last 10 seasons, we have only gone two years (2015, 2018) where we did not host a non-Saturday game. If we truly believe in what Billy is building here, then as fans we should expect to be a desirable team going forward, and hold our athletics department accountable if we are not.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. IMO it is totally fair; the games picked by ESPN for weeknight games are estimated by them to be the best of the league. So compensate the teams for lost revenue just because they were better than the other teams in the league.

If have not heard anyone say they prefer playing on a weeknight; the HC's say they like the national exposure but at what price? This would help.

That's NINE games on linear television networks. (and ULM is still on the table.)
Somebody thinks we are really good.
Absolutely! But we are building the brand while sacrificing the chance at creating a larger core fan base.

Yep. That really puts our suffering through all the mid-week games into a proper perspective.

Suffering is in the eye of the beholder. We are good and it has been shown by the way we have been treated by the TV executives. If we continue to be good, we will continue to be chosen for these games. If that happens, we will need a lot of cheese. Oh well . . .

It seems like we Cajun fans just will never be satisfied! We complained when we were 1-8 because our team sucked, and now we are complaining when we are 8-1 because our team is so good that TV Executives want to show off our team to the nation! Let's just enjoy the ride, even if it means playing some weekday games, while we continue to build the Ragin Cajun brand.

I like this guy a lot. He see's the picture. He is interested in Louisiana as opposed to the cheese. We need more like this guy. If we had more like this guy, we would see less of me . . .

you know Duggie, sorry if I came off that way. But I think I dislike the weekday games a whole less then some folks. Gave me a chance to take some time off from work, lol.

And please trust me when I say I am a truly devoted UL fan, and always support them. I have season tickets for FB, Baseball and MBB. And have a very good track record of going to all of the games.....rain or shine, weekday or weekend.

I don’t mind weeknight games. I just loathe Tuesday & Wednesday night games. Or short week Thursday night games.

But a Thursday night game with 12 days to prepare and promote is an awesome deal. Thursday night games are prime time games. Hell, I’d take all 6 games on Thursday night. Lol

Agreed. I actually like Thursday games. The only real negative is for me but that I know how it’ll impact attendance.
