When the SE seating expansion occurred, thought that was done first to accommodate fans once the upper deck was dismantled and reconstructed? At the time no one could have predicted the oil energy depression that hit Louisiana's economy and workers in early 2015 drying up a lot of resources. Secondly, we need to ask are only 3 Saturday home games the new norm for a winning Cajuns football program? Its pretty obvious weekday TV games negatively impact our game and tailgate attendance. I don't care for the weekday games however it does create a hunger for the Saturday game. Older Cajuns fans will recall we had seasons with only 4 home dates. Anyway, the stadium renovation plan should still be centered on Saturday attendance and creating more revenue with premium seating and suites, too. Somewhere around 35,000 capacity sounds about right. I don't know how much premium seating capacity factors into that number.
16k would look great in a 20k seat stadium
This is correct.... The mid week games are brutal for families with kids... AND we are entering a new phase of Cajun football... Better conference (same but better).. More attractive games (Hard to get excited by Ga State.. sorry).. a beautiful modern stadium comming.... FINALLY, and this is important, we don't have the tradition of playing better teams and games that mean something.
Joe Average was content watching the game on TV last night... But when we are playing USM or Marshall in a meaningful game on a late Saturday afternoon the place will be packed...
As coach Sab... errr Napier.. says.. it's a process
Keep talking Cajuns football... Don't fall into a&m@br is the ONLY game in town...
Where does UL rank on Thursday after Saturday games?
Oh, that's cute. First of all, do you really put any stock in a guy that can't spell "Ragin?"
Also, let me hit you with some facts. Covid Carolina's attendance #s this year in no particular order:
18,674
11,689
15,261
17,697
The worst crowd of our season is better than your average! I don't have twitter. Post that, please.
Plus, we had nearly 29k for an 11 am kickoff. Sorry that you can't fit that in your stadium.
Also it's a picture from the visitor's side which is always lousy. At least when USM and Troy come we'll get some visitors.
I expect a good sized contingent from ULM because they think they have a chance.
Ways to get 100% attendance:
1. Our Lady of Lourdes Dome at Cajun Field.
2. No ESPN/TV games so the program can play on Saturday nights.
3. LSU closes or moves to another state.
4. Cajuns have equal shot to play for a National Championship.
5. Free beer.
Uhhh…. Sorry, waking from my dream.
