On 3-23-10 IPSO Directed Patrol was given information on the
A C Company burglaries, several tips were given that identified the suspect as Chad Lavergne age 33, from video surveillance. Intel from Lafayette SO revealed Chad had been observed burning a large amount of copper wire behind his residence 1513 Chemin Agreable Dr Younglville on 10-13-2009 that matched spools stolen on the same date from A C company. All three vehicles used in (5) burglaries committed at A C Company from June 25, 2009 until March 22, 2010 were identified as vehicles used by the suspect. Chad was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on a warrant charging him with (5) counts of simple burglary value of stolen items are estimated at $8,000.00
