The purple have an open date this week. Fewer casual fans will be sitting in front of their TV. I think that helps.

That is good news, as someone who does not follow "THE PURPLE" whatsoever, I was not sure of their schedule, it is good to know that they are off and hopefully some of those people who want to see some good football will come out.

I believe we will see big attendance this weekend, between news coming out on the sunbelt, news about our coach, us hosting conference championship game, the game between the app and CCU game.

    Attendance will be big

If the game was at 4 I’d agree. But with the game being at 11 I just don’t see it. Lafayette has yet to prove otherwise. So we shall see

You do realize that with the tiggers off, perfect weather, surging Cajuns, Homecoming, and only the second afternoon/night kickoff in 2 years, we were talking about a +30k game, right?

We will have a decent crowd, but this is a travesty. The conference has to demand better treatment, particularly for those schools espn has targeted for schedule wreckage the most, especially for Homecoming.

Whatever level Dr. Maggard thinks the fans are pizzed about this, multiply that x100.

App's game was at 7:30 PM, not 11:00 AM

And end of the season gatherings at sports based and pizza restaurants. Just be forewarned. An excellent excuse for POST GAME tailgating. I’m sure casual fans will opt for tailgating.

Look a game starting at 11 A.M. to me is a Northern or Yankee thing.

Swap the Hard liquor and Beer for Donuts and Coffee!! If you really feeling it you get some Baileys!

Just got to think like a Yankee!!

As a kid I watched more northern teams on CBS at noon than I can count.

Even today there is something about the mid day lighting that is nostalgic for me.

Not as nostalgic as Louisiana Saturday Night Lights though.
