Louisiana's Evghenii Corduneanu improves to 10-1

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Evghenii Corduneanu continued his stellar play Wednesday with an upset over No. 90 Dimitriy Koch 6-2, 6-2 in the round of 32 here at the 2003 Icy Hot/ITA Men’s All-American Championships.

With the win, Corduneanu improves to 10-1 during the fall season and has won his last seven matches. Corduneanu will face the winner of Ravi Pathanjali (Western Michigan) and Michael Rubin (Michigan).

“I couldn’t be more proud of Evghenii,” said UL Lafayette head coach Justin McGrath. “Our hard work and determination are starting to show and this builds a lot of confidence in our guys and the program.”
