Thread: Brett Baer gets some love on 247 article

  1. UL Football Brett Baer gets some love on 247 article

TRIVIA ANSWER: I asked earlier: Wake Forest kicker Nick Sciba is — as of now — the most accurate kicker (minimum 50 attempts) in NCAA history, hitting 69-of-76 tries (90.8%). Only one other kicker has a career mark of 90 percent. Who is that kicker?

Former Louisiana kicker Brett Baer converted 90 percent of his attempts (45-for-50) in his collegiate career. Baer never attempted an NFL kick.

That is so cool, thanks Lafitte The Pirate.

Brett Baer saved the day so many times so many ways.

I wonder where the young man is now. He looked like a good kid.

Dude was money but did not have the strongest leg in the world. NFL tends to value the ability to hit a 58 yarder, and BB wasn’t exactly the poster child for doing that consistently.

The good old days when we didn't feel that we HAD to go for it on 4th down on the plus side of the field.

Dude was clutch all the way around. His success with onside kicks was insane as well as his ability to pin teams deep on punts

This was taken from an article currently on 247

That's really cool! I'll never forget that game-winning kick at the NOLA Bowl. Gives me chills just thinking about it.

Greatest onside kick kicker that has ever lived.

I remember that guy. He recovered his own onside kick once.

The NFL is too stupid for its own good.

Brett Baer would have won some team a ton of games.

They probably didn't like the fact he did squats during the season.

Because of the consistent inline movement of the act, kicking is the one finesse possision where muscle memory would be enhanced by that form of weight lifting.

Now I would question the value if he were doing cable side kicks.

I quit watching him right after the 2020 election. He is horrible.
