With the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns taking on Texas State for their homecoming game on Saturday, October 30 at 11 a.m., that gives students and fans the unique opportunity to keep the party rolling post-game with an official "Reverse Tailgate".

Really watch the game and get sauced afterwards. What a novel idea.
Too bad they won't let ice chests and grills into the game...

The administration USLed the reverse tailgate. Let’s advertise something then block people from entering the area even if they have parking passes after the game. We had people in our group who had soccer, tried to come to the reverse tailgate but weren’t let in with their parking passes. Plus security telling everyone that we all have to leave at 5 unless we are in the RV area. Then at 5 everything apparently changed but we already left. We can’t build the fan base with crap like this.
If ever there was an opportunity to return this tailgating atmosphere to what it used to be… it was this! Those who showed up after the casual fans rolled away had a great time.
Some folks who tailgate near us had a similar experience. They were told by security that they needed to leave by 5. We didn’t get the same message so told the group next to us that we were staying until we felt like leaving unless someone kicked us out, the other group decided to do the same. We ended up leaving right before 6.
My sister, BiL, and godson weren’t able to make the game but decided to come join us around 4:30ish and they were nearly turned away at the gate if it wasn’t for some quick thinking on their part. They told the cops and security at the gate that they were helping pickup at a tailgate spot and were allowed in. Admin definitely found a way to USL such a simple concept.
Really should not close down tailgating until the next day. I’m okay if y’all want to party til sunrise.
While we’re piling on, why is track/soccer closed during tailgating if no event is going on in that facility? It was closed yesterday morning during tailgating, opened briefly in the afternoon from 2-4:30ish, and was closed by 5. Most people who tailgate along Reinhardt between the AA tent and Bertrand use the track restrooms if they do not have a port-o-potty at their spot.
Dr. Ray A and Dean Blanco told Parish part time security to lock it up at 5...USL isn't running a nightclub and those security deputies cost a load of money the school doesn't have. Signed, Casual UL Official
