How would it be beneficial to have Louisiana play in this scenario. You can make the argument that App beats Coastal so the game is played here, but after that, it seems we want an opponent with as few losses as possible.

This would come into play only if we lose one of our remaining conference games. We run out we host with a CC loss to App.

This year happens to be CC for us. That’s the only reason it matters. If they win out and we win out it goes to rankings. Anything else other than happens and rankings don’t matter.

I don't know if it's still the case, but at least some teams scheduled two money games and need two homes games, thus only eight conference games.
