Thread: Tie breakers and App-CCU game

UL Football Tie breakers and App-CCU game

So just thinking ahead: suppose app beats CCU Wednesday, and then they both win out the rest of the way. CCU would still be the east champs, right? Because they would still be presumably higher ranked?

And then if we win out the rest of the way, even though we’d win the west, we’d still have to go to CCU for the CCG, correct, since they’d out rank us? Just trying to think what the scenarios would be.

I believe that is correct, but head to head is first.

No head to head is first, we would host APP in CCG

App would be East champ because they won head to head and the conference championship would be played here against App.

It’s conference record then head to head. Then ranking. In that scenario,
Cajuns would host because we’re undefeated
App would win east because of head to head win over coastal. Rankings would not be a factor. Only way rankings matter this year is if us and cc win out.

Cajuns biggest game of the year left is Wednesday and we aren’t even playing in it!

App state winning would be MASSIVE for UL and their goal of hosting the sun belt title game here on dec 4.

Cajun Field would be ROCKING for that.

Much rather Coastal, either here or in SC. Payback will be a b'i'tch...

A Championship Game at The Swamp would be a program solidifier in the minds of the locals.
