Side note - Tim Buckley writes ULM pieces for the news star now?

Man, he was spamming in game updates for ULM under the "TDARaginCajuns" twitter handle. Had to unfollow even though it was along time coming. At worst, those posts should be coming from a News Star handle or their Sports handle. I follow "TDARaginCajuns" for (what a novel idea) Ragin Cajuns content. I don't care that whether he's being asked to do it or not, I don't want ULM updates filling my TL

Well, if he used @TimBuckley, no one would have seen his updates. WIth ULM's beat writer gone to USA today, Gannett needed to staff the ULM game. They chose Tim.

I have no problem with him covering it.

The tweets should be sent from @newsstarsports at very least though. How many ULM fans realistically follow @TDARaginCajuns compared to The News Star's sports account? The main subset of people seeing those tweets about the ULM game were Cajun fans who have likely have a minimal passing interest and certainly arent really going to be looking for play by play tweets on it. Its a pretty easy matter of letting him have the login for that TNS account during the game. As best I can tell, only one tweet was sent during the game from that TNS account during the game (link to their story with updates as game went along.)

It's just not a very logical way to use Twitter in my opinion
