I feel the same. Like some other posters have said, this is the game that can garner some attention for our team as the state of D1 football in the rest of Louisiana is grim.

Last year's win actually rivaled the Iowa State win in terms of satisfaction for me. Ending that losing streak was a big relief.

Regardless of what happens, I still think we win the West. But we need to start playing better.

Losing this game is not the end of the world. But, what a lost opportunity to capture fans locally, state-wide and nationally. It is a must win for UL.

I’ll take a W is this game any way we can get it.

Losing this game is what the old U(s)L would do, and has done for the past 50 years. The old mediocrity mindset creeps in some. How about the new UL, with the highest paid coach in the SBC win this game and be the best in the Sun Belt.
    Geaux Cajuns.

    Time to win.

This is how huge this game is (for a win), a win and we are set up to realistically run the table and have a legitimate shot at hosting the SBC Championship at Cajun Field. I only see Liberty being a struggle after that and that won't matter in conference standings. On the flip side a loss won't be the end of the world, we should still end up winning the West, but it will mean we will most definitely be on the road for the Conference Championship.

So basically, win and we are set up, loss and we are still in good shape to play in conference championship.
