Approximately 1,000 Entergy customers will be without power for several hours today after a car hit a pole near Milton.

Entergy crews must replace the pole that was hit and straighten four more poles before the power can be restored. The accident occurred near E. Broussard Rd and E. Milton Ave. Customers can check the Entergy website under outages to find out which specific areas are affected.
