Man, there sure are a lot of old farts on this board.

The stadium was already 16 years old at my first game at Cajun Field as a freshman in '87. I was 3 when the stadium opened.

And happy to say I was at Cajun Field 50 years ago for that first game.

I was there as a season ticket holder sitting just above Section UD1. Moved down to my existing seats in UD1 about 4 years later. My arse has been planted there ever since. Very much looking forward to the opening game post-renovation.

I can understand why 50 years at the swamp was not celebrated.

At this point it is hated and it is shortly going to be renovated.

How do you make a big celebration of something in that state and make a big push financially to renovate/replace at the same time?
