Yes, they should use mail in ballots.

I’m pretty sure fan votes are the sole method. Probably only a very small part!

Brian Mitchell needs to get in ASAP

Retired with more total yardage than anyone else in NFL history...It shouldn't matter that he got them on special teams

"Mitchell is the NFL's second all-time leader in total yardage, second only to Jerry Rice with 23,330 yards, thanks in large part to his 14,014 yards from kickoff returns and his 4,999 punt return yards. Both are NFL records, and his 875 postseason kickoff return yards are a record as well."

Brian Mitchell was the most balanced player in NFL history.

    8% came rushing
    10% receiving
    21% from punt returns
    60% kick returns
the other 1% is mixed in with the rest

All time all purpose yardage leaders.

I see two LA connections on the top-10

Mitchell and Tillman are definitely worthy.

I love Jake. Once he became the starting Panthers' QB, the wife and I would attend the games in NOLA (and Tiger stadium in 2005) with me wearing a USL Delhomme jersey. But if we're being honest, his career is not NFL Hall of Fame worthy. At least not by the standards I personally believe the Hall of Fame should be held to. I'm still not sure Art Monk was truly NFL Hall of Fame worthy.

Sorry. Art Monk was a (3) time pro bowler and (3) Super Bowl champion. When he retired in 1993, there was only 2 guys ahead of him: Jerry Rice and Steve Largent. Art Monk is definitely worth a gold jacket.

Herman Moore is a three time ALL PRO (Monk was one time All Pro) with one less 1,000 yard season than Monk. Is he Hall of Fame worthy?

Monk got elected due to a 14 year career of compiling stats.

Maybe I'm just "hard" on Hall of Fame inductions, but it's my opinion that to be elected to the Hall of Fame strictly on credentials as a player, you should have multiple (three or more) seasons in which you were considered Top 3 at your position in the entire league. Not sure Art Monk passes that smell test.

    Tillman and Mitchell do.

Herman Moore didn't crack 10,000 yards in an era where all the good ones cracked 10K. I am not a supporter of Chad Johnson for HOF. 6 PB's - great. 11,790 yds -MEH.. If you played 12 seasons in the NFL, you'd better be in the 15. He isn't. Now, Andre Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Rod Smith and Reggie Wayne - Steve Smith, Sr. all HOF worthy. HOF needs more OL and DL....Roy Bacon and Al Baker. Lomas Brown. Richmond Webb. Steve Wiznewski.
