Louisiana's Amanjot Singh and Corduneanu were eliminated in doubles qualies

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Sophomore Evghenii Corduneanu improved to 9-1 during the fall season, while winning his sixth straight match and advancing to the round of 32 here Tuesday at the 2003 Icy Hot/ITA All-American Qualies at the Champions Club. Corduneanu defeated Fresno State’s Sergui Madoc 6-4, 6-2.

Corduneanu will face Tulane’s Dimitiry Koch in a 9 a.m. match on Wednesday. Koch defeated Johan Brunstrom of Southern Methodist in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4.

In doubles, Corduneanu and Amanjot Singh were eliminated 8-2 by Mississippi’s Paul Ciorascu and Claes Lindholm.
