FB Final: Louisiana 27, Nicholls State 24

The pregame atmosphere, tailgating, Cajun Walk, The Tigue and the crowd were the best it's been in a decade. Almost 26k in stadium mid first quarter felt like a hell of a lot more.

We HAVE to do our best to replicate that on Thursday. AAC officials in the house this past weekend and staying the week to evaluate our program. TWO HUGE OPPORTUNITIES to impress their conference.

Well done, but the job is not over. I for one, had a great time. Great experience. Felt good to feel the buzz around the complex again.

So we are all upset with the performance of the team. Was the most disappointing part the 24 points we gave up to an FCS team or the 27 points we scored on an FCS team?

For me 24 points given up is the rarity when facing an FCS team. Then again the quality Tim T. brings is a rarity.

The student section was as good as it's been in a few years. That was refreshing.

Yes. Great to see the crowds again. I hope the concessions debacle did not run off the fringe fans for good. I have know doubt Maggard will get that straighten out. It is a shame that one of the 2 crowds the AAC will witness is on a week night,

The difference is both those QB makes those throws more than they don't .

the end of the 1st half series was awful, he stared down his WR and just chucked and prayed.

And our offense looked its absolute best when we went up tempo heavy pass. He made all the throws then.

Regarding Lindsay Scott, when the middle of the field opened up, he took off.

Jay pointed out that we didn't do a good job of spying on him. IYeah I know...woulda, coulda, shoulda) but with nobody birddogging him, DBs backs turned away from the play, he just feasted on the empty space.

Remove his runs from the equation and they have 19 carries for 30-35 yards. And I think this was due to our failure to pick up on it (both on the part of the coaches and the players).

What impresses me the most about Lindsay Scott is the fact that he is a good passer and can really throw the ball. However, when he decided to run he runs! He does not _____foot toward the line of scrimmage looking undecided. He runs with a purpose and does not appear to be afraid of contact. (Were you watching Levi?)
