    Bingo...we have a winner...And while UL is more "well rounded" in athletic success, App bets the table on its football program. Why? Because that's the culture of the school and fan base...and that's due to weather. Its still snowing in Boone when we and many others in the Belt are sunny and 75. It (the cold) cripples your spring sports. Basketball is seeing a resurgence, but for most at App, it barely rings the bell for them. They take their money and resources and invest it all in football.

    BTW, how big is "legacy" in Boone? Luke Combs (former App St. Student and near graduate) played the rock last Saturday Night...34,000+. How much did athletics make with that event?
