BN isnít a bridge burner. Everything he does you can tell is calculated.

As far as Cookie Monster, we all have skeletons in our closets. But some of our skeletons, like Orgeronís, stick out like a compound fracture.

It’s always funny to see folks believe what they want to.

For years, everyone here says LSU is protected, never will get in trouble, top tier P5s always get off free, etc.

Yet now that we don’t want Napier to leave, LSU will all of a sudden get the hammer dropped on them for Title 9 issues??

And I think maybe we are seeing Les wasn't quite the "aw, shucks, ah'm gonna chew on a blade of grass, good ole boy."

In this thread, we have read the LSU dumpster-fire as being a soap opera.

I'm just suggesting Orgeron got here after it started and just fit in quite well.

The bigger scumbag part would play a role in the ____e-show and then threaten to take down the whole institution.

What do you say about a post like this except pure bull crap. Ed Ogeron has been a loyal coach since he started in the game. Other coaches know this & that’s why Billy was so complimentary today. However, LSU boosters are not loyal. Ed got caught in between the boosters & his players. He tried to walk a fine line between the two & found it to be impossible to accomplish. And that is what cost him his job.

LSU will not be able to get Joe Brady, or Dave Aranda & will not consider Billy Napier. So they will end up with a guy like Bill O’Brien & that will go over like a turd in the punch bowl for the players & any recruits. This is the opportunity of a life time for UL & its fan base. Billy will get his pick of any player who doesn’t want to take a chance of bench sitting in the SEC.

UL can over take LSU as the number one football school in the state & force their way into a P5 conference.

His buyout is portioned to be paid back to him on a quarterly basis...he had that in his back pocket all these years knowing if he f'd up he'd be better off on the beach instead of the bench. I think if any of us had that sort of golden parachute waiting to be paid out, we'd be like Eddy O....$850K a quarter (60 month payout) work for anyone?

And the rumors about him hitting on women and the girl friend with her kids at practice are out there to make LSU look good, as in, see, we knew he was a problem...

LSU will systematically purge their coaches who were around during the Title IX scandal. Will Wade is going to go next. But they have to get their finances in order before doing so. Orgeron was just the first of a few.

It was always known that Title IX was going to be a $$$ eater, but who really thought it would cost that much? The O severing was not a Title IX sever, otherwise it would have been much, much, much cheaper and much earlier.

Dabo is likely to get first shot as a former player and winning a National Championship under his belt as a HC. If that becomes reality, then Billy Napier would be a candidate at Clemson. Keep an eye on the Florida job, Mullen is on the hot seat right now. At best he will finish the regular season with 4 losses, they play Georgia on the 30th.

I don't see a G5 HC getting the job at an LSU, Bama, or Clemson. Seems they generally go for HCs at P5 schools who were successful but would view those jobs as a step up and more money. Someone like a successful Michigan State Coach or maybe Cincinnatti.
