    LSU = Baylor - murder.

Let us not forget this Title IX wreck they have. And their new CRT president. This will be an epic power struggle decision. Tons of popcorn and beer to be consumed.

The new hire may be micromanaged from the start. Years of being mid of the pack may be their future.

What is coming out, all that money he is about to get?

I'm not convinced LSU is on the supposedly short list of schools that Napier is willing to consider.
I believe it comes down to this. How much cr&p are you willing to put up with in order to have a shot at winning the national title. If winning the title is very important to you in terms of career goals, then, LSU has to be given serious consideration should the opportunity arise. Napier, as is most successful coaches is very competitive and has a lot of drive. On the other hand, he has shown that winning is not everything and that quality of life for himself and his family is important. Should he be given serious consideration by LSU, he will have to balance those two considerations.

One thing is the fact that he tried to flirt with a woman in workout clothes at a gas station. Said they should workout together. She told him that she’s married and pregnant. His response, “Why does that matter”. She just so happened to be the wife of a higher up at LSU. Word quickly got back to the Board of Supervisors.

So why are they paying him then?

I don't know that that would rise to the level of a fireable offense. Some discipline, perhaps, but I don't see someone with a contracted, as opposed to at will, employment being fired for that. Scummy, no doubt, but in my inexpert opinion, not a firing offense.

Guys, I love Coach Napier and donít want him going anywhere. And I do believe heís all about quality of life. To an extent.

Donít forget he got a 100% raise and his assistants got paid, too. Letís be honest with ourselves: if that doesnít happen, heís out of here.

So if A&M comes knocking with another 100% plus raise, and a top 5 athletic program, there will be consideration. I just cannot imagine any scenario where a coach in the right mind turns their nose up at this gig.

As I have been saying all say, “too bad “Coach O” got fired, I was hoping to continue to watch that dumpster fire for a few more years…”
Also I too have heard creepy stories about him with young women - as he was obviously taking advantage of his position …

Gotta love the stories about women’s children being allowed to participate in practice.

I just can’t think of a reason why Napier would go to LSU besides Money which is not a motivating factor for the man.
Why would someone want to go to that dumpster fire right now besides money. They have so many issues right now.

Could you imagine if he publicly turned that job down and they fumbled their coaching hire? How hilarious and opportunistic would that be?

Before any TD lurker reads this, I know that’s a pipe dream. But it would be hilarious from this side of the basin.

They also have the history and resources to win a National Championship. The unknown area is will the Title IX lawsuits adversely affect the football program. If it's not affected, I can't see why it would be a deterrent to taking the job, if he wants a chance to win a championship.

10 years ago, RP did a poll on who UL should hire as FB head coach.

Of the available candidates at the time, Hudspeth was #1 and Ed Orgeron polled last.

If Napier would happen to be offered the LSU job and take it, I think that would put many of us in am awkward position. We all like and appreciate what he has done for UL and recognize he is a good man. That would certainly put me between a rock and a hard place.
On one hand I want Billy to have success wherever he goes, but on the other hand there is no way I can cheer for LSU!
What are we to do if that sceneries were to happen?
