I got back about 3:00 today and first thing I did was watch the replay. When you watch the replay of the game you will realize that we were in the game more than we actually felt live in person it seems.

We are going to be just fine in most probably winning a SBC championship. Watch it and you will feel more at ease. Texas is going to win the Big 12 this year.

The Cajuns will definitely get better as the Longhorns are probably the best team they will face this season.The Cajuns will grow alot from week 1 to week 2.

Glad to see some sanity returning to the board. We lost but at no time did it appear we did not belong. Texas will be an upper tier P5. They were better than us but not by a lot. We are going to win a lot of games this year. This program is for real

He was great using his legs to get out of trouble. We got pressure on him pretty consistently, he scrambled and either got the yards or make the needing throw on the run. He was much more elusive than I expected.

Also, their receivers seems to make just about every tightly contested catch, from #4 on a couple 3rd downs to the TE with 2 Cajuns defenders over his back in the endzone.

I don't think yesterday is doom and gloom. I could see us going the rest of the season with 0 losses or just one more loss, but we will need to have a better ratio in the secondary on those contest targets (which we did a very good job last season), and hey, we'll need a few fumbles to bounce into our hands rather than right back to the team with the ball.

We're going to need Levi to hit those intermediate routes, and we'll need the receivers to get a bit more separation, which I believe they will vs. Sunbelt competition. Plus, vs. Sunbelt offenses, I expect our D-Line and LBs will dominate the LOS and get consistent pressure. We just can't allow the QB to be as elusive as Card was yesterday. Once he's cornered, get his ass on the ground.

The most disappointing thing I took from the game was that we didn't play Billy Napier football, our best. The matchup had something to do with that, but we weren't sound, discipline and didn't execute well in all three phases. Yet, it was an 8 pt. game at halftime. Some have mentioned that we played well on both lines at times. At this stage of Coach Napier's tenure, I'm not interested in the small battles we won, but the overall execution of the game plan and results. And frankly, yesterday we simply were not sound across the board.

Our goals of a championship this season is still in front of us now. But if we are not 4-1 going into the App. State game, I will be concerned.

They have shown up religiously for the last three years and are sure to be here the rest of the season. Down right embarrassing.

LL is who he is. He rarely cost us a game. But he will almost never take over and win you a game. It’s been proven over and over.
