Louisiana is Moving Sunday Soccer Contest To Houston

Due to travel logistical concerns caused by the impact of Hurricane Ida, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer home match scheduled for Sunday against the University of Houston has been moved to the Carl Lewis International Complex on the UH campus.

Yeah, how convenient for UH. The only thing I can think of is all the traffic coming Eastbound from Houston to get to SE La that maybe logistically it could make sense but our team still has to travel back east anyhow once they've played so I can't figure that out.

This is a really weird move. I wasn't sure we would win this at home, but I think having to go to Houston makes our chances of winning even lower. Hopefully we can turn the season around.

Apparently all the hotels in the area are filled with Ida evacuees. Dr. Maggard said that on Scott Prather's show yesterday morning. Nicholls will probably bus from Ruston on Sept. 11. Colonels are being housed there now. Hopefully there are rooms for Ohio when they come into town.

Not only that. The busses they take here will have to refuel there. There may not be fuel here for them to refuel. Our busses have fuel at their base. They can easily refuel there and come back

Getting off a multiple hour bus ride and playing soccer doesn’t work well.

Darn good chance hotel rooms are an issue. Wife told me the production crew for “Swamp People” were on FB searching for rooms. September is gator season, should be some interesting videos this year.
