Filling a sports radio show in freaking Lafayette first week of September with off-season NBA talk is dumb.

I flipped to 1420 after school a couple weeks ago just to hear what they were up to, who was on air, etc. because it had been probably 6 months. A couple guys in Jay’s old slot were interviewing strippers from Michael’s for Michael’s upcoming “Stripper Olympics,” right at the top of the 3 o’clock hour.

I won’t be tuning back in for a while, to say the least. It was painful.

Maybe those particular strippers had radio bodies.

103.7 was also guilty of the stripper Olympics thing. It was getting old. Now the big thing is fantasy football and betting now that it is legal. That's getting old too. Almost as bad as the Cajun Heartland State fair.

Michael's obviously bought sponsorship time for their deal which is fine I guess but it still doesn't excuse avoiding the opening to a promising season and all the talk that could go into that.

If you didn't know UL is playing Texas this weekend and listened to STR this morning between 745a and 815A....then you still don't know...

Always hate to hear about anyone losing their job but it was hard to listen to his show.
