    I feel for guys like Lacy.. I have family in Thibodaux and we have not been able to reach them in 24 hours

    I have family in Gray and Houma.

    that USM game was the day before a hurricane and many of the players evacuated with their families after the game. I went to the game and drove back to the coast that night and evacuated out early the next morning.
    usm played extra dirty that game

    should we also think about the “regular” students? countless more of them, from the same areas and likely just as much need, and less resources available to them?

    I don’t remember USM after a hurricane. I do recall leaving Hattiesburg on Sunday morning and going through Natchez down to Alexandria and coming south to Lafayette due to people evacuating on 12 and 10. I think it was either Gustave or Ike.
