Well, college football fans, this September 4th marks another renewal of the SABINE SHOWDOWN. The annual game between the University of TEXAS and the University of LOUISIANA always proves to be very heated, and this year's edition looks to be extra spicy indeed.

Both schools come into the game nationally ranked in all the major preseason polls with Texas at #21 and Louisiana at #23 in the AP poll respectively. This year, the Showdown is being held in Austin. While the Cajun Navy will have to dock their vessels to complete the trek to the Hill Country, the Cajun Nation will be traveling en masse and always bring their legendary tailgating with them.

So, whether you're a BBQ fanatic or a football fanatic, bragging rights and bruises will both be earned on Sept 4th. Be there, or watch it on Fox Television. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
