I've given it 3 chances, all terrible. Last time there I asked the waiter where they "smoked" the meat because it was presented and tasted like it came out of a toaster oven. He said there is an electric smoker out back. Hwat?
Maybe it's time to give it another shot.
Agreed. But I’ve been hearing how good Earls’s Sunday BBQ plate is, so gonna try to give it a try tomorrow. Anyone had it there before? I also heard they get crazy busy…..can you make a reservation to pick it up?
ETA: I just called them. You can call them in the morning beginning at 7 to place deli orders. 237.5501
I don’t frequent casinos or eat there but I’ve heard that the ones in Mississippi have great racks walking around. In all honesty, the best BBQ that I’ve had normally comes from people selling out of their house. Not completely legal but very tasty! Plus that spot I had a few weeks ago. A trailer in the middle of nowhere in northwest Arkansas.
I’ve only been to Tchoups once so far (cuz cOvId) but I thought it was very solid.
I’ve been to several BBQ places in Memphis (Rendevous & Central twice each) Arkansas (Wrights and Lost Forty) and Nola (Central City and Blue Oak several times) in the last 2-3 years and I thought it compares well to them.
My only complaint about Tchoups would be the meat serving sizes for the price compared to the places mentioned above.
