Louisiana's Amanjot Singh and Corduneanu also advanced in doubles
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Evghenii Corduneanu defeated Tim Krebs 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the 2003 Icy Hot/ITA Men’s All-American Qualies here Monday at the Champions Club.
In doubles, Corduneanu and Amanjot Singh advanced to the qualies. The Cajun pair won by default over Miha Lisac and Jaime Rodriguez of Georgia State.
“I am very proud of these guys and they are taking our program to the next level,” said Louisiana head coach Justin McGrath.
Corduneanu will face Sergui Madoc of Fresno State at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Corduneanu and Singh will play Paul Ciorascu and Claes Lindholm of Mississippi at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
