I've been an Ernie Johnson fan since I watched a special on him while he was going through Cancer treatment. For those that don't know his son has Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, the same mutation as my son. He's been a tremendous advocate for his son and others with this disease.

"Get to" is part of many of our lives. Such as, we get to go to church.

    Ernie has always "got it".

Yeah, didn't feel any emotions from that at all.....

What a simple, but powerful message.

I love Ernie. That TNT crew is probably the only crew I actively look to tune into, easily the best commentating team in professional sports.

I agree. I am not an NBA fan and rarely watch games other than a few playoff games. However, I do enjoy watching the pre-game and/or post-game shows with Ernie and the crew (I even occassionaly watch past shows on YouTube).

Great video. Thanks for sharing, Jay.

For those of you that like the TNT show, there was a 4-episode series on the show and each episode focused on one of the crew. If you have YouTubeTV, I highly recommend you go back and watch it.

Note that clip was originally shared from an Alabama site. Some of the people in athletics (not all in football) who still have a connection to Alabama picked it up and shared it via Twitter. Regardless of how it was was shared, Ernie had some powerful words in his talk. 6 minutes of immense wisdom are able to be picked up if you watch it.
