Correct, in theory we can actually go 13-0 and still end up in New Orleans bowl if Cincinnati stayed above us in the CFP rankings.
However I would imagine ESPN would try to schedule a better matchup for us if this was the case

Heck, even if we are 12-1, win the division and CCG, I can see that espn would want us in a better bowl than NOLA.

If, no WHEN, the CAJUNS go 13-0 with the Conference championship, we better not settle for nola bowl!!!

There is only so much ESPN can do. While the auto SBC tie ins remain the same (NO, Lending Tree, Camellia, Myrtle, Cure), ESPN can move any school to one of the bowls they own.

They can work with some other bowls to try to place a team, but that bowl would have to have an opening because of contractual agreements.

I still can't believe after all these years, we are still talking about a "better bowl." Some may be perceived as better because they're different from what we're used tobut if we go 13-0, we aren't getting in the Outback, Gator, Cheez-It, etc.

Only if the AAC and Mountain West Champion both lose two or more.

That's pretty much what it is. Like the past three years, a change in scenery of bowl games helps rather than going to the same bowl year in and year out.

Only if fans travel to the game.

Fans won't travel to New Orleans with all of the restrictions.

This! Much rather go almost anywhere else than NOLA. It's awful what Latoya is turning that city in to.

I’m more concerned right now about “fans” in Acadiana who come up with every excuse not to travel to Cajun Field.
