"The Sun Belt Conference also is worthy of mention. The league has never had a team ranked in the preseason. This year, there are two: No. 23 Louisiana and No. 24 Coastal Carolina."

I went back to 2011 and no preseason rankings for Sun Belt.

And until last year with Coastal finishing #14 and UL #15, the highest a Sun Belt team had finished a year was 2019 when App St. finished #19.

20 years ago, we were coming off a 1-10 season with losses to Sam Houston St, Northwestern St, and Jacksonville St which were all home games.

I won't be surprised if the Cajuns are also ranked in the AP Top 25. In fact, I'm more excited that the coaches think we're a top 25 program in 2021.

They have to hype that Texas game up to the heavens! We may benefit from that. Which makes a win all that more gigantic.
