  1. UL Football New crop of UL assistant coaches fitting in well so far

So much of UL’s 2021 football team is similar to a year ago.

One of the biggest changes, though, comes with six new assistant coaches.

The new group includes: Jeff Norrid and Darnell Stapleton on the offensive line, Galen Scott at linebacker, Wes Neighbors at safety, Jeff Burris at cornerback and Chris Couch at special teams.

The new coaches are a major X-Factor this year. Not knowing a thing, I am worried about turnover and them all being on the same page

This is something successful programs have to deal with every year.

The new coaches are one of the few question marks for the program. They each have good resumes, but can they function together as well as the previous staff? That remains to be seen.

With the way Coach Napier structures his program I think these guys will all be in sync. I hate that they are starting to lose coaches but when coaches are moving up to bigger schools then the progam is doing something right. Now we have tons of coaches wanting to coach here.

This reminds me of how the fastest men in the world botched relay handoffs. Great coaches still need to be on the same page to succeed.
