An actual win and ranked lower than the loser as compared to capturing a forfeit win and expecting the same treatment.

You would have to be logically blind to ignore the comparison.
    Facts!

A win over Texas in week one would position UL as the odds on favorite for the NY6 bowl. We wold get a huge boat based off of last years win over Iowa St.

follow that up with beating Liberty and Appalachian St who will both likely be ranked when we play them.

Just have to get that 2nd win over an SEC program. Lol

Hopefully our guys get themselves vaccinated and we don't concern ourselves with forfeits. Let's learn from NC State.

At the rate that covid is coming back the stadiums might be back to 25% capacity. As this thread title suggest it isn't looking good for the 2021 football season for teams, players and fans if this continues.

Given past history, depends on the teams involved.

Had this rule been in effect last year, it suggest that there may have been a totally different result in the determination of SBC champion.

The Covid Chickens would have either had to play or forfeit.

In other words, the Commissioner could not have condoned cheating to advance the cause of the Covid Chickens.

Under what conditions do you have to forfeit? 2 or more guys out with Covid? A coach out with Covid like Coastal last year? If you have say 3 starters out, do you have to forfeit or do you just use substitutes and play the game? Wouldn't 2nd teamers step up and play in that scenario or does the whole team go into quarantine and forfeit the game?

The team decides when they need to forfeit. If they have enough to start the game, they can start the game.

Seems to me a team should never forfeit. That is why they have 2nd and 3rd team players. Play the game.

I can't wait to see what Coastal does when their coach gets the sniffles.
