There is no comparison. A head to head does not count now when elite, surely a forfeit not decided on the field will have virtually no impact. It is a prime opportunity for the elite to cheat. Sorry Turbine, I have to disagree with you on this. I know you trying to throw JMV a bone because there are few opportunities to do that. This is a very weak opportunity. I guess you have to take what you have.
A win over Texas in week one would position UL as the odds on favorite for the NY6 bowl. We wold get a huge boat based off of last years win over Iowa St.
follow that up with beating Liberty and Appalachian St who will both likely be ranked when we play them.
Just have to get that 2nd win over an SEC program. Lol
Hopefully our guys get themselves vaccinated and we don't concern ourselves with forfeits. Let's learn from NC State.
Had this rule been in effect last year, it suggest that there may have been a totally different result in the determination of SBC champion.
The Covid Chickens would have either had to play or forfeit.
In other words, the Commissioner could not have condoned cheating to advance the cause of the Covid Chickens.
Under what conditions do you have to forfeit? 2 or more guys out with Covid? A coach out with Covid like Coastal last year? If you have say 3 starters out, do you have to forfeit or do you just use substitutes and play the game? Wouldn't 2nd teamers step up and play in that scenario or does the whole team go into quarantine and forfeit the game?
