Louisiana's path through independence and into a better conference might require a French Curve.

Hey, a little German ingenuity can't hurt.

Turbine. You need to spend some time in west Texas/eastern New Mexico. If you don’t think they have culture and history you are sadly mistaken. It is one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

Wayne is correct they don’t have a lot of recruiting base in New Mexico but they do have history and culture. They also could do a better job of recruiting the Texas area.

I know I used to snow ski there.

The school however was not founded on New Mexico's inherent culture, they call themselves Aggies.

Why not broadcast in French and Spanish? Ragin Cajuns reach North America from Quebec to Mexico. Is it profitable, I dunno?

Maybe not immediately, but from the looks of it, the NCAA is heading the way of the dodo bird. At least for football and basketball. The conferences, who couldn't agree whether or not to even play football last season, will be tasked with filling the governance void. The bottom line keeps growing in college athletics due to explode with CFB expansion. So much where its attractive for the top 12 to 14 football schools in AAC/SBC/MWC CUSA/MAC break off to attempt becoming a P6. Or the geography makes it too difficult and its 20 that realign with everyone else left in the newly formed Lagniappe Conference.

You are talking about a State.

I'm talking about a school capitalizing on their assets and identity..

This makes an incredible amount of sense.

There was a time when this would have been cost prohibitive. No more.

With the advent of low cost and even free streaming services, it would foolish to not market the school through multilingual streams of exposure.

To say it is to hard to try, would be like saying its just as hard to find out of conference opponents as it was in the 1990's.

If there was a market for it, I’m sure a P5 would have done this already.

I love the idea of playing an equal twice in one year.

NMSU is playing Hawaii twice this year.

They call themselves Aggies because they are the Land Grant University for the state, not because they lack cultural referents.

I lived in the area as a kid, and you are absolutely correct. Let us not forget that that area is also home territory for the Apache nation and the birthplace of the Atomic era.

    Exactly what I said.

Unless they are handing out land grants of their own, nothing in their presentation is going to draw outside interest or curiosity.
