More major league teams are bringing their guys up to teams close to their home ballpark. This is done to make a quick move to get them on their big league roster.

I get that, but it is not like he was in South America, he was in Corpus Christi, Texas just 3 hours from downtown Houston. I know Sugar Land is only a 1/2 hour away, but again, Corpus is not that far from Houston.

Like was stated earlier, I think it is a short term assignment to see him against veteran talent in the hopes to move him up pretty quickly to the big league team.

Article: "(Arrighetti) focused too much on commanding the baseball and, as a result, started “unintentionally walking more people by trying to be too perfect.”

3 starts and then the big leagues (just my guess, no insider info)

Actually I’d like to revise my prediction. 2 starts and a call up, given the way the all star break and rotation falls.

Looks like he is getting closer and closer to the big leagues . . .

It's a hitters league, so don't expect an ERA under 3.50 or 4.00. Javier has lost his velocity and may have to go on IL before the all-star break. That may be his break.

Good point, you might be right. The Astros pitching is just a dumpster fire right now.

Actually, their starting pitching is top 5 in MLB last time I checked. Their offense and bullpen has been bad.
