They have lost some starters, but they have also picked up 6 or 7 FBS transfers. As long as McCall is playing QB, they will be a good team. They are favored in that division for a reason. For those that haven't picked up this year's Phil Steele magazine, buy it and you might want to do a little homework.
I will be taking the under in pretty much every Coastal play this season. Especially W/L o/u.
They have lost a little, most notably they lost their #1 RB CJ Marable, who was a really good player and he will be hard to replace. They do lose their #2 QB, who had been a starter the year before, so if they lose McCall to injury the backup with be Bryce Carpenter, who has started and played a good bit previously, but neither was close to as good as McCall. Receiving wise they lose only 1 of 4 WR's, which is Sam Denmark, but Marable was their 2nd leading receiver as well as their top RB, so he is a huge loss. They return 9 on offense and 10 on defense. This team will be very good again, specifically if someone replaces Marable. Right now the top candidate is Reese White and Shemari Jones, they both were good last year as White rushed for 485 yards and Jones rushed for 401, they combined for 9 TD's. They are really young at RB behind those two. But Jones and White should be capable of picking up most of the slack from the loss of Marable. They also return a pretty good punter and FG kicker from last years team.
The schedule is set up very nice for them as they play The Citadel, Kansas, Buffalo and U Mass out of conference and only Buffalo is on the road.
Kansas and Buffalo both OOC losses.
