And he could have entered the portal the portal the day after the season ended if he wanted to, no need to declare he was returning. I don’t think he would have been in practice here for the last 3 weeks if this was planned the whole time.

Well theses other teams don't stop recruiting and have to backfill spots for their teams so I am sure it was not planned. But some school caught his attention.

None of the above. An agent told him if he was planning to play professionally he needed to be at a bigger school. Personally, I think that's bad advice, but it's the decision that was made.

His agent gave him the same advice DeVante' Jones at Coastal Carolina received. In my opinion, this is the reason the power conferences went along with the new transfer rule change. It's much easier to replace an athlete that didn't work out or got drafted with a really good player that has been developed and has a number of college games under his belt.

Before his announcement (that he was coming back to utilize the unique eligibility rule) he was no longer a UL athlete.

Good luck to you, Ced! I was at the Ole Miss game when Ced was a true freshman knocking down 3 after 3 until getting a tech for taunting the student section (I think). That was a good show. I thought he would be a much more consistent shooter than he ended up being. I suppose the foot injury didn't help him any.
I think he probably has a good chance of making some money overseas.

His intention was to come back. That has changed as his agent has been in his ear for a while now. I think he is getting bad advice but it doesn't matter anymore as we have to move on
