Thread: Ragin' Dave's Road Trips this year--what are y'alls?

  1. Default Ragin' Dave's Road Trips this year--what are y'alls?

I have been working with the family on which road trips we are going to make this year and think we have figured it out.

Obviously I will be making all 6 home games and hopefully the conference championship at Cajun Field and whatever postseason play we have. But my 2 Roadies this year will be, Texas and South Alabama. For the Texas game we are going to stay in Austin, apparently the wife wants to stay at some indoor waterpark facility that she found. For the USA game we are going to get a VRBO on Pensacola Beach and then travel to the game. Once I started thinking about this, I wondered what roadies would some of the regulars on this board be planning on this year and what are your favorite roadies in the past.

    Thanks.

    Definitely:
    Texas
    Ga south
    South al

    Maybe:
    Troy
    Liberty

Maybes depend on work as Ark state is out of the question.

I’m told GS is a must stop.

    Texas
    Possible GS

    EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

My favorite Cajun road trips would be Kentucky in 2015. Bourbon tour and that 2nd half comeback is one I'll remember for a long time.
The Ohio trip a couple years ago was also a blast. We saw 2 Indians games, Browns/Rams on Sunday night, a dominant Cajun victory in a cool college town, and throw in the Rock N Roll HOF all in one weekend. Tough to beat.

UT, South Al, and Liberty. For the UT game in Austin, we are having a social at the Sheraton on E. 11th Street, so that is where we are staying. We are also going to have a tailgate tent set up at the stadium on the day of the game. Information should be coming out about these events shortly. Looking forward to a big crowd at both events

We are going to all home and away games this year except Liberty. In the past, I’ve enjoyed beating Arkansas State and ULM on the road, but University of Arkansas was a cool RV trip too.

This will be the first time we've played GS on a Saturday in Statesboro. Savannah is a great city to stay the night before and to spend part of Saturday.

They've announced kickoff time at 6pm EDT.

Lived/worked in Savannah for nearly 2 years. If you've never been, go....fantastic city, about 30 miles from the Georgia Arm Pit, Statesboro...
