Hard to justify buying season tickets to support a top 15 team and the best coaching staff and group of players we will likely EVER see here in Lafayette because 3 of the games are mid-week?
I hate to say this, but if this team and coaching staff were at LA Tech with this amount of preseason hype and anticipation coming off of the year we had they'd probably have a waiting list for season tickets in RUSTON.
This is not a jab at you, Scott, but I just won't ever understand this line of thinking.
If a region the size of Acadiana doesn't have 30k people willing to spend a couple hundred dollars a year to support these winners, why even bother upgrading the stadium? Go take a look at the amount of prime seating that's available. It's really sad.

With all the streaming options, it has and will continue to adversely affect attendance unless you are a football blue blood. We will be fortunate to average 20k.

If we average 25k I will be happy and I think we will with walkups and students.

I will be shocked if we get over 10k season tickets sold. Too much variability

The truth is the people of Acadiana are front runners. For UL to grab a substantial foothold in our own backyard a few things have to happen.

1. Sustain a high level of success 10+ wins and ranked at some point in the season.

2. LSU has to get absolutely hammered by the NCAA and suck balls for a few years.

Also there have been many job losses in the area and folks having to move to work for a living....I used to be a season ticket holder when I lived down there but now I live to far away to attend games.... that issue has been a factor with some season ticket holders

We have also priced ourselves out. People just wait for $10 tickets or $60 season packages

We are high to an extent, but if you want to be big time then you have to be willing to put the cash out.
