On March 20, 2010, at approximately 10:15 pm, the victim, a 66 year old male, exited his residence in the 200 block of Violet Street to investigate noises outside. While walking in his yard the victim was approached by a black male, 6’00”, light skin, with braided hair. The suspect produced a small revolver and demanded money from the victim. The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim’s pocket and fled the area. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
